Placer
Loose ground, worked in a month. Shallow, quick, forgiving.
Coupon, struck at mint
Worked from the surface. Nothing here is buried deep enough to be difficult.
Sink to PlacerNorthold books capital against a seam. Choose how far down you are willing to go — thirty days, ninety, a hundred and eighty — and the coupon is struck at that depth and never moves again. It pays in the asset you sank. The shaft itself is a token you hold, transfer, or sell.
Coupons are simple interest, struck at mint, denominated in the deposited asset. Nothing rebases, nothing is paid in a second token, and nothing about the rate is a vote.

Further down is further from your money and closer to a real coupon. That is the entire mechanism, and it is the only thing you are asked to decide.
Depth
Loose ground, worked in a month. Shallow, quick, forgiving.
Coupon, struck at mint
Worked from the surface. Nothing here is buried deep enough to be difficult.
Sink to PlacerThe working seam. A quarter underground for a heavier grade.
Coupon, struck at mint
The working seam. Most of the register sits on this bench.
Sink to LodeDeep rock, half a year down. The richest assay on the sheet.
Coupon, struck at mint
Deep ground. Long shaft, heavy grade, and no quick way back up.
Sink to MantleNot a strategy, not a vault that reallocates overnight. A term, a rate, and a token that proves both.

DAY 02 OF 90
You pick the asset and the seam. The contract escrows the principal and mints one token that carries the depth, the coupon and the owner. Nothing about those three can be edited afterwards — not by you, not by us.
→ One transaction. Two if the asset needs an allowance first.
The grade runs by the second against the asset you deposited. WETH earns WETH. USDC earns USDC. There is no wrapper to unwrap, no emission token to sell, and no rate that moves because someone voted.
→ Simple interest. It does not compound inside the shaft.
Pull accrued coupon on any day of the term without touching the lock. Principal comes up on the date. Abandon early and you forfeit unclaimed coupon at the seam's published rate — the principal is never the penalty.
→ Claimed coupon is yours even if you abandon the shaft later.
Simple interest, no compounding inside the shaft, no fee on the way in. What you see here is what the contract pays.

Northold is building the deposit out into a place. One continent, six districts, every contour cut from a single elevation model — so a coordinate always means the same ridge, on the map, on the plate, and in the register.

Same asset out
Coupon and principal both settle in the token you sank. No wrapper, no emission, no swap on the way out.
The token is the claim
Ownership of the shaft is the NFT. Move it and the whole position moves with it, terms included.
Lift on any day
Accrued coupon can be pulled whenever you like. The lock only ever gates principal.
Abandonment is priced
Leaving early costs unclaimed coupon at a rate published on the seam. Principal is not the fee.
Open ground
Thirty days is enough to see the mechanism work. A hundred and eighty is enough to make it worth doing. Both pay in the asset you brought.
COUPONS ARE FIXED AT MINT AND PAID IN THE DEPOSITED ASSET. SMART CONTRACTS CARRY RISK. NOTHING HERE IS FINANCIAL ADVICE.
